Visit Threlkeld in the beautiful Lake District
Location
Meghan Cottage is located on the edge of Threlkeld village approximately 4 miles from Keswick, in the northern part of the Lake District.
It is easily reached from the A66 Penrith-Keswick road
From the A66 turn off (towards Blencathra mountain) at one of the two turnings signposted Threlkeld. Ignore any turnings towards Threlkeld quarry which is towards the valley side of the road.
Follow the Threlkeld turning for approx 500 meters (from both directions) and take the turning marked 'Blease Road towards Blencathra'.
Follow this road up past the school (RHS) a small car park (RHS) and follow the road around to the left. Pass a few houses and 'The Bungalows' self-catering / B & B and Meghan Cottage will be found on the LHS. Meghan Cottage is the middle of the last row of stone terraced cottages before the end of the village and the national speed limit signpost.
There is a parking bay just after the row of cottages or one prior to the cottage.
